Workers - Sebastião Salgado

A photography collection highlighting the condition of the poor

I saw one of Salgado’s prints in the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Study Room. I got to look at the work up close and write a analysis of it. Since then, I’ve loved his work and the drive for human rights behind it. Salgado describes his style as “militant photography.” He wants to bring dignity to those who are overlooked because of their poverty. This collection is fascinating and eye-opening.
